Welcome to the technical community for MASAS.
The Multi-Agency Situational Awareness System (MASAS) initiative makes it possible to share location-based situational awareness information and alerts, between first response and emergency management agencies, using open standards and an open architecture.
This site is maintained for a technical community. If you are looking for MASAS information more suited to users of the MASAS Information eXchange (MASAS-X), please visit www.MASAS-X.ca.
For more information about the MASAS Development community see our Development Wiki
If you have questions or want to learn more, we'd suggest hitting the MASAS Wiki.
The following key projects are of interest to the broad MASAS Community. If you want to see what we're working on or submit a ticket, please use the following projects:
- MASAS Technical Project - This is the root-level Technical MASAS project for access by the broad community. Much of MASAS is open-source and available to the community. You'll find those open-source and community technical pieces here:
- MASAS ArcGIS For Flex Widgets - provides a set of widgets that can be deployed into an ArcGIS Viewer for Flex environment.
- MASAS Mobile - a Cordova/PhoneGap based application that was created to prove out some concepts for the use of MASAS in a mobile environment. Requires a developer to build and deploy but it works well on iOS, Android, and PlayBook devices.
- MASAS for SharePoint - This project is managed at CodePlex.

EMSymbology.org - gone
www.emsymbology.org has gone dark - the MASAS community is a key user of this symbology set so the MASAS technical team has made a copy of the key artifacts available.
